image Group of autographs gathered by collector who corresponded with Judith Resnik in 1979; she sent him two signed handwritten notes on NASA stationery, and included an official NASA photograph of the 35 astronaut candidates chosen for the Shuttle program; (34) of them signed special SCCS cacheted covers, postmarked on 1/16/78 at Houston with the additional of a NASA Local Post stamp showing each candidate; unfortunately the cover for Sally Ride was either not produced or was removed; to replace it, another cover w/ Ride's signature plus three other female candidates is included; VF (Image)
