(SEPT. 30) SMALL UNSEALED ENVELOPE - bearing an appealing ½c black (Scott 34) Small Queen, tied by neat Montreal duplex datestamp. An unusual usage of the half cent rate to unaddressed circular with letterbox distribution, couple paper clip marks.
Perhaps a greeting card left at the post office to be picked up by "Master Peter". Unless contents were genuinely a circular, the rate should not have been a half cent. Most attractive item; ex. Ted Nixon (March 2012; Lot 27), VF (Image1)
