1696   PROOFS OF THE 1943 CHRISTMAS SEALS - A fabulous, possibly unique, holding of four different proof sheets of 100 as follows: 1) English imperforate sheet indicated as coming from the revised plate; 2) English sheet perforated but imperf between the seals and all of the sheet margins; 3) French imperforate sheet showing the 'red star' error which affects the 'N' of 'NOEL'; 4) French imperforate sheet with the 'red star' error corrected. All sheets are on slightly thicker ungummed wove paper and show guidelines in the margins and colour control bars at lower left; some creasing in margins only, otherwise Very Fine and perfect for a specialized collection
