Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - March 20, 2019

Welcome once again to another mail auction. Winter marches on here in New Brunswick but I was able to get away for a while in January to warm up for a couple of weeks. Here at the office we are looking forward to seeing the snow melt and the arrival of spring.

Thank you to all of you who bid in our January sale, which was one of our strongest ever and shows the continuing strength of the stamp market. We have loyal customers in literally dozens of countries which is a big change from our early years. The advancement of technology has of course played a part in this.

You will find over 2,800 lots in this auction. Some featured areas:

  • A fine selection of singles and sets from Caribbean countries in the British Commonwealth section. These come from one collection and tend to be in well above average condition.
  • The worldwide large lot section includes many nice country collections from popular French colonies. Again, these come from one collector and are in better condition than we normally see.
  • Canada is well represented as usual, especially in the period from the Jubilee Issue to the Admiral Issue, which is always a popular era with collectors. More modern rarities are also featured -- don't miss lot 1597, a rare corner block of the famous 'White Queen' error. Perforated officials and scarce plate blocks are also under the spotlight.
  • A Newfoundland Columbia flight cover (Lot 2340) highlights the Newfoundland lots. Only three hundred of this 1930 airmail were issued and this is the first cover we have even offered in our mail auctions.
As normal, StampAuctionNetwork bidding for this Sale will close at 3:00PM ET.
Eastern Auctions Mail Sale lots have NO Buyer's Premiums - you will pay your winning bid and only the actual shipping costs and any required taxes. We are pleased to accept major credit cards at no extra charge in our Mail Auctions.

If you have bidding questions, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be pleased to help.

Good luck with your bids. Ensure that your bids arrive early to gain maximum bidding advantage. Bids may be submitted via SAN, telephone, email, regular mail and/or Fax.
