The following 57 lots (1671-1697, 1704-1716, 1719-1735) comprise the extensive Daniel G. Rosenblatt reference collection of 1926-1978 Canadian slogan cancels that were exchanged between multiple post offices. This collection formed the basis for the entire multiple post office listings in the current Coutts Canada Slogan Catalog. Represented are 466 different slogans sorted by Coutts numbers, each one an exhibit in itself. The collection is near complete with about 12,000 varieties for all the slogan dies issued to various post office from the 8 different cancel machine manufacturers along with examples for each of the known slogan usage time periods. Dan’s detailed notes, hundreds of pages of postal archive reference documents, and copies of die proofs for each slogans is included. The Cecil Coutts, Dan Rosenblatt, and Dr. Richard Moulton slogan collections sold at auction in 2014 contained proprietary slogans that were exclusively issued to specific towns and did not include any of the multi-office slogans. This is the finest know, most meticulously researched multi-office Canadian slogan collection ever assembled comprising 2877 covers and 9328 cut squares with a 2007 Coutts catalog value of $58,450.
