Dear Philatelists:
While
overall US stamp sales were slightly lower in 2012, record prices were still
realized for good material. Booming sales in Canada, Asia, and Australia easily
offset the effects of the US lull and the
current
improving American economy suggests a very bright future for the overall stamp
market in 2013. The Canadian dollar held steady, close to par with its US
counterpart and, for the very first time, seemed less dependent on fluctuating
oil prices, indicating a strong diversity in Canadian business. Selling your
stamps in Canada is looking better than ever!
The
auction will again be held in conjunction with the popular RICHPEX
2013 Stamp Show scheduled for Friday through Sunday (March 15-17) and located at the Vancouver
PNE Holiday Inn Express Hotel. It is another huge annual sale and we look forward to
seeing you there.
Postal History auction highlights include a rare 1795
Three-Rivers-LC straight-line cancel (lot 1); an 1840 Canadian
soldiers 1d rate (lot 13); an impressive group of Small Queen
registered and illustrated covers (lots 68-133); a very scarce 1915 first day War

posted in 1916 while en route to England (lot 1200); a significant Canadian ship
cancel collection
with better Union Steamship and RMS Nascopi items (lots 1311-1330); a lovely

original gum 3d Beaver #1 on laid paper (lot 1902); also an incredible reconstructed
