7944 imageGB.REGIONS - MACHIN REGIONAL DEFINITIVES - HIGHLY SPECIALISED COLLECTION. A very detailed advanced collector's stockbook of never hinged mint Machin definitive stamps which has been assembled using the 'The Complete Deegam Machin Handbook' (3rd edition). The Deegam system uses up to 17 attributes for each identification. Very few collections we have seen have matched this degree of specialism. The collection ranges from 2½p through to 65p with an odd 1st NVI and includes elliptical and non-elliptical perfs from the 1970s and '80s - with a few stamps from the '90s. Some stamps of particular note would include: Northern Ireland 1973 (Apr) 3p 2B Ultramarine, Harrison photo, FCP/PVA (DG N30.1.1, Stoneham U23); Scotland 1973 (Jun) 5p 2B Bright Violet, Harrison photo, FCP/PVA (DG S50.2.1, Stoneham SC36); Scotland 1973 (Nov) 7½p 2B Chestnut, Harrison photo, FCO/PVA (DG S75.2.1, Stoneham SC37); Scotland 1985 22p type II Yellow Green, Waddington Litho, ACP/DEX (DG S2220.2.2). Some duplication, all expertly identified. Also, includes a small selection of regional blocks of 4 and 6 (35 blocks). The splendid culmination of much time and study which would prove difficult to duplicate (800+ stamps with over 300 different)
