8120 imageGREAT BRITAIN - PERFINS - A SUBSTANTIAL, SPECIALISED COLLECTION presented with the perfins identified on stockleaves in a binder. A vast variety of commercial perfins, commencing with QV Line Engraved (about 80 stamps), then QV Surface Printed to QEII arranged more or less alphabetically by perfin, plus a few stamps at the back requiring sorting and incorporation. Chiefly used, but can see QV 1d plate 186 irregular strip of four min, plus 1870 ½d plate 19 mint pair; also note a used plate 225 with a "GWR" railway perfin. The perfins arranged alphabetically include a good range of QV surface printed values to 2s6d (5) and 5s (3), and KEVII to 2s6d (at least 4). A particularly interesting collection which is accompanied by useful Literature including various handbooks. Most impressive!
