1506 imageAUSTRALIAN STATES - SOUTH AUSTRALIA Interesting sorter balance of mint & used stamps on album pages from various collections, we see areas of specialization, items kept for curiosity incl 'narrow' misperforated, stamps kept for postmark interest, mint blocks, plate proofs, various "O.S." opt incl mint vals to 1s plus much else from 1860 onwards. Great fun for the patient buyer (approx 250 stamps) (Image1) (Image2) (Image3)

1507 imageAUSTRALIAN STATES - SOUTH AUSTRALIA 1860-69 1s olive- yellow - for years this shade was deemed to have been an issued colour however the source of this stamp was the wreck of the "Colombo" where the mail had lain submerged for 3 months and the salt water had altered the brown stamp ink to this shade. Various faults as to be expected, this with very fine Adelaide 25 Oc 62 cds (the correct date) (Image1)
