7793 imageGB.QUEEN VICTORIA - 1841 1D RED IMPERFS - INCREDIBLE PLATED COLLECTION of used examples arranged by plate number on Hagner style pages in 2 matching binders. The collection in most cases has multiple examples from each plate from various positions, also noted are a good number of pairs, also strips 3, 4, 5 & 6 and a block of 6 (from plate 42) all cancelled clearly enough to be plated, generally good margins with around a third of all examples with 4 margins including some very large stamps. Begins with 60+ examples from the 'Black Plates' 2 to 11 and 1000+ further examples with Maltese Cross cancellations between plates 12 and 45, the rest of the collection consists of 1000+ examples between plates 46 and 171. Apart from the plating we see a number of additional notations identifying re-entries, doubled & recut letters, repaired states, inverted 'I' and 'S' letters plus other varieties. A fascinating collection (2000+ stamps)
