2997 nh Image$5.00 Dark Green (278). Mint N.H. bottom imprint and plate no. 85 strip of three, deep rich color and sharp proof-like impression, right stamp small corner crease at top right

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN INCREDIBLY RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER STRIP OF THREE OF THE $5.00 1895 WATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE.

A Power Search review failed to find another completely Mint N.H. imprint and plate number strip of Scott 278. This is also an excellent alternative to a plate block, of which only one exists (and catalogues $200,000.00). This strip was held for generations after being purchased from the post office in the 1890s.

With 2019 P.S.E. certificate. Scott value for three Mint N.H. singles, which does not convey the rarity of this piece (Image)
