China, Taiwan, Japanese Occupation & Shanghai
Lot Sym. Lot Description
1453 E ImageCHINA, Taiwan, 1950 15c Koxinga Plate Essay in Yellow on Striated White Paper (1014E). Rouletted as the issued stamp, there are several slight differences in the design from the issued stamp, which are difficult to detect due to the coarse printing on blinding yellow color (which was never used for any Taiwan stamp), trivial natural inclusion at left, Very Fine, a rare (if not unique) trial color essay of the first stamp series produced by Dah Tung in Taiwan (Image)
