EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. A HANDSOME EXAMPLE OF THE L. W. BUCK & COMPANY'S ONE-CENT STAMP ON OLD PAPER. THE FINEST OF THE FIVE WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.
The Buck plant was destroyed by fire circa 1870 and was never rebuilt, leaving a brief period when the stamps would have been used. The Aldrich book records only sixteen examples. We have offered four others, all with faults to varying degrees. This is by far the finest centered.

VERY FINE. THE FINEST QUALITY AND ONLY SOUND EXAMPLE WE HAVE OFFERED OF THE L.W. BUCK & CO. ONE-CENT BLACK ON EXPERIMENTAL SILK PAPER.
We have offered only six others, all of which have faults to some degree. In terms of centering, only one of those six can compare to the "World Traveler" example.

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. THE FINEST QUALITY EXAMPLE AMONG ONLY FIVE DIFFERENT COPIES WE HAVE OFFERED OF THIS MATCH STAMP RARITY.
We have offered four others, three of which have faults and the right margin into the design. We have sold one other sound example three times (ex Tolman, "Scarsdale" and Inman). It has slightly smaller margins than the "World Traveler" copy. The Aldrich census contains fourteen.
