Lot Sym. Lot Description
45 c Image10c Black (2). Large to full margins, deep shade and sharp impression, tied by vivid orange grid cancel, matching "Mobile Ala. Aug. 24" circular datestamp on envelope to Haverhill N.H.

EXTREMELY FINE STAMP TIED ON A FRESH SMALL COVER BY THE VIVID ORANGE GRID OF MOBILE, ALABAMA. BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY RESPECT.

Mobile used two distinctive colored inks for postal markings: the "Paint Red" in a dense shade of carmine, and this bright orange, which is not merely an oily red, but actually has the vibrancy of true orange ink.

With 2016 P.F. certificate (Image)
