Quebec, contents regarding the Internal Survey of the Township of Durham”, minor hinge reinforcements along folds, Very Fine, this is the earliest recorded Way” marking from Three Rivers, this marking indicated the letter was picked up along
the way” on the postal route, the recipient, Hugh Finley (ca. 1730-1801), was a well-known merchant, politician, postmaster and landowner, interestingly at the time of this letter, Finley became involved in a land speculation scheme and this letter
