In two Heirloom albums, 19th Century mostly unused and contains many stamps cataloguing in the hundreds and thousands of dollars each, although the condition is quite mixed, including stamps with faults and a few cleaned cancels, 20th Century is well-filled, with much Fine-Very Fine, also useful Back-of-Book, one desirable feature is the large number of certificates, 154 in all (28 P.F., 23 P.S.E., 18 A.P.S., and 85 Weiss), the total catalogue value is enormous

1590 og Balance of a Major Classic Unused Collection, 1851-1893. Extensive and valuable collection of unused stamps on Scott album pages, 1851 Issue with original gum Nos. 9 and 11, 1857 Issue largely original gum including Nos. 20, 24 (block of four), 25-26, 26A, 30A, 35, 36, 36B and 38, a couple of these are regummed or no gum, 1857 Reprint with Nos. 40 and 42, 1861 Issue includes a couple with original gum and others with no gum or regummed, Nos. 63, 65, 68-69, 73, 75-78 all present, a few E and F Grills, 1861 Re-Issue with original gum No. 102, 1869 Pictorial Issue through the 30c less the 24c (15c Type II only, 6c is used), the 1c-10c are original gum, the others are regummed or no gum, 1875 Pictorial Re-Issue with both 1c and 2c, decent range of Bank Notes including National Nos. 134, 149, 151 and 153, Continental Nos. 156-161, American Issues complete less just a couple and includes Special Printing No. 211B, Small Bank Notes complete, the centering is mostly Fine with some Very Good, small faults to be expected and there are plenty of regummed stamps as mentioned, our estimate takes that into account, overall a desirable collection with many useful stamps, a dozen or so old P.F. certificates accompany, Scott Retail approaches $40,000.00

1592   19th & 20th Century Unused and Used Collection. Actually two collections formed by the same collector, at one time they may have been separate unused and used collections, but both albums now have both unused and used stamps, and there is a group of loose material (mainly on auction lot cards) that was never mounted, includes used classics (both albums contain a No. 1 and 2), toward the late 19th Century one album contains more unused, both have complete sets of the Columbian and Trans-Mississippi issues, 20th Century contains useful unused, particularly Washington-Franklins, and an array of Back-of-Book issues, while condition is mixed, many of the better items were purchased at auction and are Fine-Very Fine, with an occasional Extremely Fine stamp, several with certificates, careful viewing is recommended
