1552° bl Image15c Inland Exchange, Part Perforated, Double Impression (R40e). Block of four, showing distinctive doubling of the entire design, dark rich color, manuscript cancels, top left stamp small diagonal pre-printing paper fold, top pair with a light horizontal crease

FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE AND LIKELY UNIQUE BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 15-CENT INLAND EXCHANGE PART PERFORATED ISSUE WITH DOUBLE IMPRESSION.

A Power Search review found only three other single examples of a double impression on this issue -- two of the three are fully perforated (R40f), which is priced in Scott considerably lower than the part perforated version offered here. This is the only block we have encountered and is in all likelihood unique.

With 2002 P.F. certificate. Scott Retail as singles (Image)
