Oct. 23, 1861" circular datestamp on "Johnson, Truehart & Vaughan Wholesale Grocer's Richmond Va." yellow lithographed advertising cover to New Plymouth Va., backflap tear barely extends to front and is partly detached, Very Fine, a scarce and desirable first-month use on a grocer's corner card, signed Brian Green, who noted it as the earliest known use of Stone 1 (Scott Catalogue now lists Oct. 18 as EDU) (Image)
