III (26), not accepted as prepayment in Louisville where bold blue "DUE" handstamp struck with manuscript "3", reduced slightly at top clipping corner of stamp, edge stains and repaired tear at upper left, otherwise Fine and very rare example of Confederate mail to Louisville after suspension of the Nashville-Louisville mail route, had this been addressed anywhere north of Louisville it would have received the "Southn.
