Lot Sym. Lot Description
923 ng ImagePHILIPPINES, 1936, 6c Rizal, Horizontal Pair, Imperforate Between (403b var). Horizontal strip of five from the bottom row, with selvage on three sides, right pair imperforate between, as is the selvage below it, unused (no gum), Very Fine and exceptionally rare, while the Scott Catalogue lists a horizontal pair imperforate-vertically error (No. 403b), this imperforate-between pair is entirely different and worthy of a separate listing, as Scott always differentiates between imperforate-between and imperforate-vertically errors -- we have encountered no other such examples (Image)

924 nh ImagePHILIPPINES, 1939, 2c Rose, Booklet Pane of Six, Bottom Left Stamp "Wealth Common-" (433b). Mint N.H., rich color, small rust spot near staple holes

FRESH AND FINE. AN ATTRACTIVE AND RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED BOOKLET PANE WITH THE BOTTOM LEFT STAMP CONTAINING THE "WEALTH COMMON-" ERROR.

It has been stated by experts in the past that only 24 panes were printed. We believe the number to be slightly higher, based on the observed population (we are aware of five complete booklets and a handful of single panes). Two complete booklets were found in an original package of normal panes (ex Diamond). Several others were closely held for decades by a second-generation stamp dealer, who recently found this pane plus one in damaged condition (offered in lot 926) in his extensive and disorganized holdings.
