1288   India 1854 4a Red & Blue, Balance (SG 17-26; Scott 6). Immense balance of 122 examples, of which over half are cut squares, plus one cover, most were bought individually over the course of decades and are identified by printing and mounted either on album pages or dealer cards, quite a few are stated to be the rare Third Printing, wide range of cancels incl. "B/172" (Straits Settlements), even a few potentially unused examples, we notice six pairs from different printings, condition can be mixed and we notice some toned examples which can be expected from an offering this size, though much is Fine or better, the Stanley Gibbons catalogue should prove to be many multiples of our conservative estimate and we encourage careful viewing of this wonderful opportunity to acquire so many examples of the collectible 1854 4a Lithograph
