Top left plate no. 10 corner sheet margin block of eight, state 1, lettered A-A to B-D, with part inscription "PRICE 1d Per Label. 1/- Per Row of 12. £1...Per Sheet. Place the" along top margin, large part original gum, intense shade and razor-sharp impression, light marginal paper crease just affecting position 1 EXTREMELY FINE AND STUNNING SHOWPIECE. A REMARKABLE PLATE NUMBER BLOCK OF THE ONE-PENNY RED BROWN PRINTED FROM THE "BLACK PLATES". Blocks from the "Black Plates" are quite elusive, but do exist.
