Die II, horizontal pair (faulty) tied by clear strikes of "B/165" octagon cancel and manuscript "Stamped", matching red "Sarawah Post Office" double-circle datestamp on reverse on folded letter to Boston Mass., letter datelined "Hinthada March 25th, 1856", folded letter rated "33", British transit and Boston Jun. 23 arrival backstamps, cover with two file folds which damage pair

FINE APPEARANCE. A REMARKABLE 1854 2-ANNA LITHOGRAPH PAIR USED IN SARAWAH TO THE UNITED STATES. A MAJOR INDIA USED IN BURMA RARITY.

Despite the faults caused by the file folds, the 1854 Lithograph is rarely seen used in Sarawah - even more so to a destination such as the United States. All the other examples we have been able to find have been used to India. (Image)
