FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE "CRESCENT RIFLES" REGIMENTAL PATRIOTIC DESIGN, WHICH WAS PRODUCED EARLY IN THE WAR.

We surveyed more than 40 different Confederate sale catalogues and reference books and located only seven used examples of this distinctive Crescent Rifles patriotic. One other bares a 10c Die B barely tied by town datestamp, possibly not originating.
