Johnston Pettigrew", one leaf of the letter sheet has been removed but the signature panel is complete as is the cover and all its flaps, Very Fine, Pettigrew was one of the most learned and distinguished individuals to serve the Confederacy as a general and was one of three division commanders involved in Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg, he was killed a few days after the battle during the retreat of the Army of Northern Virginia, so post-war signatures are not available (Image)
