Jun. 24" circular datestamp and manuscript "Ford 3c" to Leavenworth Kansas, slightly reduced at left and with a small and virtually invisible restoration of acid ink erosion in the crossed out portion of the address, Fine appearance, a rare and very early use from Oso Tex., carried north on the Texas Road (or Shawnee Trail) to Fort Gibson, which by this time had been turned over to the Cherokee Nation (although the government still maintained a post office there), ex Bleuler.
