EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE FINEST USED SINGLE OF THE 2-CENT VERTICAL COIL, SCOTT 449, WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. THIS STAMP HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. -- THE HIGHEST GRADE RECORDED.

A review using Power Search reveals no other cancellations which compare to the Minneapolis circular datestamp offered here. Nearly all have wavy-line or registry cancels. The fact that this is stamp also features remarkable centering and overall freshness makes it the finest example we have seen or offered in our auctions.

With 2013 P.F. (Superb 98) and P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $4,500.00). This is the highest grade recorded and it is shared by only three others. We have offered two of the other 98's and both have machine cancels (Image)
