VERY FINE AND UNIQUE. THE SOLE RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE AND STRIKING SURCHARGE ERROR WITH BOTH THE "VALE" INSTEAD OF "VALOR" AND INVERTED.

FINE. A RARE SURCHARGE OF THE COLOMPHIL NO. 6. ONLY FOUR USED EXAMPLES HAVE BEEN RECORDED. THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE FINEST APPEARING EXAMPLES.

Of the four used examples, two are on cover. No unused examples have been recorded. It is theorized these were quickly produced due to the lack of 30c surcharged stamps in Girardot for use overseas. The other recorded used example off-cover is quite heavily toned.

While there have been sixteen used examples recorded on or off-cover, this is the only unused example known. Signed Sanabria (twice), Kessler, Schoendorf and Calves. With 2010 Colomphil certificate. Grossly undervalued in Scott at $1,850.00 for a unique stamp. (Image)
