Lot Sym. Lot Description
1654 og British Commonwealth Large Clean Balance of a Collection. Nearly all unused from early issues through King George VI, with a few better early QEII items, the collection was originally housed in several albums, but the collector put many of the better items on stockcards to store safely in a safety deposit box, where they are often identified by Scott or Stanley Gibbons numbers, though there is still good value in items remaining on the album pages, the focus is on late 19th Century and the first half of the 20th Century unused sets, high values and varieties, nearly all with original gum, many are lightly hinged, and some Mint N.H., with a large number cataloguing hundreds of dollars each, very little duplication, the collector was quite finicky about condition, as there is a notable absence of faults and toning that are often found on collection of this size, the vast majority Fine-Very Fine, the perfect lot for someone desiring a particularly clean lot from a diverse range of colonies, the resale potential is tremendous
