Gooch illustrated cover with beautiful allegorical vignette in green, addressed to Lamar County Tex. with original contents, reduced at left and right edge has been skillfully repaired, the panel at left reads "Claims collected in Eastern and Middle Texas./ Remittances Promptly Made in Sight Drafts on Galveston, New Orleans, or New York", Fine appearance, without a doubt one of the most spectacular illustrated designs we have seen on a Confederate cover and reminiscent of obsolete currency of the period (Image) E. $ 500-750
