Clear strike of red double-circle datestamp with matching large "5" handstamp rate on brown cover to Lilesville N.C., toning and some edgewear and tears, Fine appearing and rare college postmark, Power Search did not produce another example, Carolina Female College was closed in 1862 after this cover was sent, it enjoyed a brief comeback from 1864-68 but then closed again, this time permanently (source: NCPedia.org) (Image) E. $ 300-400
