Vance Auctions Ltd. Sale - 344

Worldwide Mail Sale - July 8, 2020

We hope that this finds you and your family in good health and staying safe. Our July 8th auction has over 7,700 lots with a wonderful array of material. Here are some of the highlights:
  • Great Britain with a solid section of 19th Century classics with many better stamps like a mint #57 with Certificate (cat $17,500) and a nice £5 Orange with a Jan 1, 1900 (First Day of Century) cancel.
  • One of the best sections of Canada OHMS Perfins that we have offered in years.
  • United States with many key items having Certificates including a used #8 and a mint block of #218.
  • Cape of Good Hope with many scarce items.
  • Germany and Colonies with our usual robust sections of better singles, sets, and covers.
  • Canada Semi-Official Airmails with singles, proofs, covers, and imperforates. There is a particularly good showing of Patricia Airways.
  • Over 1,900 larger lots including collections, accumulations, box lots, and stocks. These are always popular with collectors and dealers alike.
  • Hundreds of fine lots of covers, postal history and postcards, most of which are illustrated.
Don't forget that there is no Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #344 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on Tuesday, July 14th.

Good luck with your bids!
