Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - September 28, 2022

Welcome to our September 28th auction. This is our 358th auction since we started running our sales back in 1972. We are continuing our tradition of offering our bidders a wide range of worldwide lots. This sale has over 6,600 lots to choose from. Here are some of the highlights:
  • A good section of France Ballon Monté covers from an exhibition collection. These are on their original pages with detailed write-ups.
  • Excellent classic Canada with strong sections of Pence, Cents, Large and Small Queens, and Jubilees up to $5.
  • An interesting group of Titanic postcards showing different views of the ill-fated passenger ship.
  • Excellent older United States including many key items with Certificates. This section has a rare St. Louis Bears Postmaster Provisional and 1869 Plate Proofs with inverted centres.
  • United States covers and postal history including illustrated covers, Zeppelin covers and a beautiful group of State Duck Stamps on hand painted covers.
  • Falkland Islands with Centenaries up to the One Pound.
  • Worldwide covers and postcards with many airmail and aviation related items.
  • Strong section of Germany with better singles, sets, and covers. There is a very interesting group of WWII propaganda forgeries of Gr. Britain KGVI stamps.
  • An interesting section of coins (including many gold), plus some paper money.
  • Hundreds of large size lots including collections, accumulations, box lots and dealer stocks. These will provide fun and profit for collectors and dealers alike.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #358 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, October 1st.
