Vance Auctions Ltd. Sale - 356

Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - May 18, 2022

Welcome to our May 18th auction with over 6,800 lots to choose from. 2022 is our 50th year of auctions! We hope that you will enjoy browsing through Sale #356. Here are some of the highlights:
  • Excellent section of Newfoundland from Pence issues onwards including mint #2, #7 and #9 each with Certificate. The Airmails include a mint #C1 Hawker also with Certificate.
  • Extensive early Canada including rare unused certified examples of #7, #7a and #10. The later Canada has many lovely blocks, plate imprint multiples, imperforate pairs and specialty items.
  • United States with many key items with Certificates including 1869 Plate Proofs with Inverted Centres and a rare mint St. Louis Postmaster Provisional #11X1 (see Lot 3907).
  • Very good showing of British Commonwealth with particularly strong country sections of Ceylon, Cyprus, and Bahamas.
  • A nice section of Canada Semi-Official Airmails with stamps and covers. This section includes a rare 'London to London' unused postcard for the 1927 flight.
  • Hundreds of quality lots of worldwide covers, postal history and postcards. There is a particularly nice group of Zeppelin covers.
  • The Scandinavia includes a nice mint NH block of 9 of Sweden #C1 having the '1830 for 1930' year error. Norway includes a rare used #1a - the famous DOUBLE FOOT error. Each of these has a Certificate.
  • Make sure you don't miss our large lot sections which include collections, albums full, estate boxes and dealer's stocks. These will provide fun and profit for collectors and dealers alike.

Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #356 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, May 21st.

Good luck with your bids!

All bidding at StampAuctionNetwork ends May 18, 2022 11:59 PM EDT
