Vance Auctions Ltd. Sale - 348

Worldwide Mail Sale - February 3, 2021

Welcome to our February 3rd, 2021 auction. This is our 348th Auction since we started running our sales back in 1972. We are continuing our tradition of offering our bidders a wide variety of worldwide material. Here are some of the highlights of Sale #348:

  • Extensive section of Newfoundland with many rarities, imperforate pairs, proofs, and covers.
  • Over 2,200 larger lots from all kinds of countries including collections, accumulations, box lots, and stocks. These are always popular with collectors and dealers alike.
  • Extensive Canada from 19th Century Pence issues up to modern including mint and used examples of the 5¢ Inverted Seaway both with Certificates.
  • United States with many key 19th Century classics with Certificates.
  • Japan with very interesting lots of old postcards including Russo-Japanese War and Patriotic types.
  • A good section of Gibraltar including a mint example of the KGV Five Pounds. This is one of the iconic stamps of the British Empire.
  • Germany and related areas are well represented with better singles, sets, key items, offices and colonies.
  • Egypt including the scarce 1956 Boy Scout Jamboree souvenir sheets perforated and imperforate.
  • A terrific array of worldwide covers and postal history from stampless up to modern plus postcards.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EST on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #348 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, February 6th.

Good luck with your bids!
