Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - August 21, 2019

Welcome to our annual summer auction slated for Wednesday, August 21, 2019. This is our 339th Auction since we started running our sales in 1972. There are over 8,200 lots to choose from with many exciting items. Here are some of the highlights:
  • A terrific section of German Colonies with many complete Kaiser Yacht sets.
  • German States with many scarce and elusive items..
  • Excellent early Canada including a used #3 - the famous 12 Penny Black (with 2 Certificates); mint examples of #5, #7 and #9 (all with Certificates); and a used #31 (with Certificate).
  • United States with many key items plus a good section of covers.
  • Covers autographed by Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh.
  • Many Zeppelin covers and cards including scarcer flights and frankings like Lot 2940 - Greece #C5-7 on 1933 Graf Zeppelin flown cover.
  • Canada Revenues with many nice Bell Telephone Franks and CPR Telegraph Franks.
  • Hundreds of larger lots including collections, accumulations, box lots and dealer stocks. These will provide fun and profit for collectors and dealers alike.
  • Canada imperforate pairs and blocks with a strong showing from 1920's-40's including the Bluenose, $1 Champlain, $1 Chateau and others.

Don't forget that there is no Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bids can be submitted via SAN, email, telephone or fax. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. For up-to-date opening bids, you can contact us directly by phone (1-877-957-3364 toll-free in North America) or through our web site. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN. Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #339 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on Tuesday, August 27th.
