The above highlights do not include everything in this incredible collection of basically only high-quality sets and singles perfect to offer as individual auction lots or retail items or to simply make a great basis or addition or to an advanced collection. There is no waste in this holding and the realization on many of these items will be a high percentage of catalogue, for instance as noted at the back of the stockbook on a dealer's notes the collector paid $6000. for the two Belgium occupation stamps overprinted "Ruanda" and "Urundi" which list for $8000. in Scott. When examining these dealer notes I discovered six double sided black stock pages filled with additional material including four additional "Mafia" Island stamps. Time doesn't permit noting the balance of the highlights in this "find" but it is sizable in value. The entire collection has been scanned for your viewing pleasure. Many issues are signed which is not always mentioned. The collector was quite condition conscious and almost everything is Fine to Very Fine or better with very few faults. As careful as we attempted to be in this lengthy description, we are also certain that a number of goodies were overlooked. Certainly, the finest Collection of the German area that we have ever offered with so many rarities it is a lot to carefully consider for its exceptional size and scope as well as its potential for any serious dealer or collector.
