Indian Feudatory States
Lot Description |
LotNo.: 2216
Symbol:
CatNo.:
Indian Feudatory States, Entrancing Lot of Singles, Blocks & Covers, 1854-1940s, Collecting the Indian Feudatory States can be a challenging endeavor, yet this is exactly what makes this area of collecting so interesting. Here we have many
hundreds of both mint & used on pages and in glassines, as well as over twenty pieces of postal stationery, mostly used, and other covers, such as Dungarpur #18 & 20 on a ca. 1940 cover. Quite a few were former auction lots but a lot of it
purchased from some of the leading retailers in the 1960s & 70's. Some higher priced items, like an 1854 Lion & Palm Tree essay of India in a pair, but let's be honest, a lot of this stuff doesn't catalog very much. Take Jammu & Kashmir
#106 for example. It catalogs $1.90 per mint stamp, but here we have a complete sheet of 15. When is the last time you saw that or any of the officials in complete sheets? There's #O8 in a complete sheet of 20. Unlisted fiscal stamps of the
Balasinor State in a booklet pane of four or a complete sheet of four of Bundi #15c. Numerous scans & video are online, so have a good look because it might be quite some time before you see it again, overall Fine to Very Fine. Shipping
