42   imageMarvelous Modern Mint Collection, 1916-2003, Obviously not all modern as this collection stretches back over 100 years, but the bulk of the value is without a doubt in the modern era with a plethora of miniature sheets, blocks and booklets, and many of these have an additional copy hiding behind it. Other than a recalled Legends of the West sheet and a Baby Zepp, nothing else of very high catalogue value, but as a whole, an absolutely enormous amount of face. A quick flip of all three volumes is viewable online, Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 28 lbs. (Video for this lot) (Video2 for this lot) (Video3 for this lot) (Image)

48   image"Striving for Perfection" Never Hinged Collection in Premium Album, 1881-1966, In one Lighthouse album, classics seem a bit sparse and there's a reason for that. This collector would only settle for the best. Stamps that were hinged, off-centered, straight-edged, or having any defect no matter how minor, simply did not have a place in the album. The term "space filler" was not even on the vocabulary list! But nobody's perfect, and it appears a few stamps were altered and slipped through the cracks. Nevertheless, a gorgeous collection and you will be able to view these beauties online, but here are some of the highlights by catalogue number: #206, 234, 236-37, 266-67, 285-86, 296-98, 323-25, 401, 410-11 (line pairs), 426, 428, 441-42 (line pairs), 455 (line pair), 516, 550, 567-69, 571-72, 586, 662, 665, 676, 721 (line pair), 832-34, 847 (line pair), E11, E13, J16, J48, J65, K1, PR121, QE2-4, RW14-15, RW21, RW38-40, RW43-52. Absolute perfection might be unobtainable, but for this collector, it was something worth striving for, o.g., never hinged, Very Fine or better. Shipping charges apply - weight 7.2 lbs.
