1766 cover LO2 imageCarrier, 1851, 1¢ Eagle (Scott LO2), attractive example with two captured framelines and cancelled by red star, on folded letter sheet datelined Camden March 12th 1852, from an RB Potts to Prof. James C. Booth at the US Mint in Philadelphia; the letter begins with Potts asking Booth, "Be kind enough to write me the process used in the mint for Refining gold. A particular friend of mine is anxious to have it & I told him I thought you would have to no objection to write it out for me."; both stamp and cover remarkably clean, Fine to Very Fine stamp on Very Fine cover.
