2206 O 15 image1859, Sherwin re-engraved issue, 2d deep blue on bluish (Scott 15), position 4, exceptionally fresh with a mute barred-oval cancel; small top & bottom margins, just touching or barely cut in on the sides; "small closed tear at upper left, small thin and fault at the lower right" per accompanying certificate, about Fine appearance. A reasonably attractive example of the rare Sherwin 2d blue, signed Bernichon, with a 2002 Sismondo certificate.
