Overprints, Outstanding Collection (Scott 1-12, E1, 2aS, 6S), on black stock page, highlights include unused #1-12 with duplicates to four of a kind including 50¢, 50¢ red orange, two $1 type I, E1, used with four 1¢, six 2¢, seven 5¢, 50¢, on piece 4¢, 10¢ type I, 15¢, 50¢, $1, and Specimens include 2¢ and 6¢, wonderful group, with many exceptional items, unused are uniformly bright and well centered for these, used are somewhat mixed but with some choice items, full of useful and appealing stamps in this popular area, much is Very Fine, with 1994 A.P.S. certificate for one #12.

4184 og 1 image1899, 1¢ deep green, Paris Exposition Special Printing, "Special Surcharge" handstamped on back (Scott 1 var.), o.g., lightly hinged, fresh with bold color, each stamp with Bartels' red handstamp on reverse (see footnote in Scott); a couple pulled perforations at bottom, generally Fine to Very Fine, just one pane of 100 was produced, only a small quantity of which was actually saved, with 1982 P.F. certificate.
