TOWN, Oct. 19 FREE, Straightline handstamps on stampless folded letter to Philadelphia datelined "Georgetown, Octo. 20th 1791" and reads, "Gentlemen, Inclosed is an order for Robert Morris Esq. for L311.0.0, which you will please to negotiate at the Bank & apply to the payment of the Principal & Interest of my second Bond, falling due on the 1st of November. There will be a small sum over, after this is done, which I request you to carry to my credit on the back of my third & last bond, the Interest on which I cannot at this time conveniently remit. In only so far as to wait for it until I can pay off the whole bond, which I expect I shall be able to do some time before it is due. Please do acknowledge the receipt of the enclosed order when it gets to land & when it is discounted, transmit me my Bond by Post. I am, Gentlemen, Your most obedient, Wm B. Brig Doterel to Halifax and thence per packet Francis Freeling to Falmouth; rated "2/2" and "3/4" with a nearly complete red "BERMUDA"/ (fleurons)" datestamp, red Nov 9 London Nov 9 c.d.s. on reverse; two filing creases, one of which crosses the fleuron datestamp.
