2038 /o   imageWorldwide, "King of the Hoarders" Balance Lot, 1850's-1980's. We call this guy the "King of the Hoarders" because he saved every bit of paper that crossed his path, we filled up many large trash cans with old receipts, booklets and other bits of paper neatly sorted and stacked into a house full of a three foot stack of paper. Among this group were some truly great pieces, with much gold and silver bullion mixed with Stop and Shop receipts, stock statements mixed with used train tickets and post office circulars. We say this to say, there was so much stuff to go through, we couldn't possibly find all of the expensive stamps mixed among these cheap stamps, this lot has some good potential to be a gold mine. With a little work and a good eye, who knows what you may find here. Inside, you will find many many tens (probably hundreds of thousands) of stamps, many hundreds (probably thousands of covers) and several albums full of stamps, filling many bankers boxes will all sorts of philatelic and philatelic related items, with many first day covers from the 1980's British Pacific FDC's, many with mint stamps inside, many cigar cards with a nice variety of subjects (some in small mini albums), groups of post cards, early U.S. and worldwide commercial mail, 19th century Stanley Gibbons album with some occasional interesting worldwide revenue issues, a stock page of interesting 19th century German locals, a lovely presented PRC Selected works of Bada Shanren post office collection, 9 volumes of Minkus pages with pages up to the 1980's that nearly makes up a nice partial collection, two empty Scott Specialty albums of China, British Africa, an empty Scott National album and an empty Scott Master Canada album, a small box of U.S. 102 cards with the occasional slightly better issue; condition is mixed, but generally Fine to Very Fine.

2040 /o   imageWorldwide, Massive Accumulation, 1850's-2000's. Arriving into our office in a half of a dozen large 50 to 64 quart plastic totes, packed with more than a couple dozen stock books and albums, with many loose album pages, envelopes, glassines, loose stamps in small boxes and stock cards packed with stamps, other sections of this collection were packed with many great stamps in the $10 to $50 stamps all over the place, after a little quick looking around, we saw a Chile 6 bisect on piece with APS certificate, this lot was only briefly examined for quick highlights, so who knows what will be here, this will be an interesting treasure hunting lot as the collection had everything in it from junk to treasure all mixed together and if these covers follow the pattern of the rest of the collection, you will find some good items scattered about, cumulatively adds up to very high Scott value and, as with all collection of this type, expect typical faults, generally Fine to Very Fine.
