Seven different color combinations were produced with one sheet of 50 of each color being placed on sale at the Mexico City Post Office to coincide with the Tejeria-Tapachula inaugural fllght. Though the proofs were intended strictly as collectors' items, the majority of them were used that day on airmail covers.
