980 o 10 image1851, 3¢ orange brown, type I (Scott 10), removed manuscript cancellation, absolutely striking top quality example of the notoriously difficult type I stamp; beautifully balanced margins and gorgeous rich color; although the accompanying PSE certificate indicates that this stamp has had a "removed pen cancel", we see no evidence of this, and due to the stamps outstanding deep rich color highly doubt this is the case; this is one of those rare opportunities for the astute buyer to own a spectacular Scott #10 at a relatively cheap price, Extremely Fine, with 1990 P.S.E. certificate.
