754 26A image1857, 3¢ dull red, type IV (Scott 26A), o.g., never hinged, among the finest known examples of this terribly difficult stamp; a handsome well centered type IV stamp with exuberant color and pristine fresh gum, with a mirror like impression; unlisted in the Scott catalog in Never Hinged condition, this is among the few existing examples found in Post Office fresh condition; this "fresh to market" stamp deserves spirited bidding - as you'll probably never see one this nice again, Very Fine, with 2010 P.F. certificate for block/4, from which it was taken, this being the bottom right stamp.
