Gibbs in his book of British occupation mentions "…Scott lists this stamp as existing with black overprint, but I doubt its existence. The [Marquis de] Bute collection contained a variety described as mint with a double overprint, one in black and one in blue. I have never seen any other reference to this stamp and it has yet to be authenticated.", o.g., lightly hinged, certainly a conversation piece and the best example of this stamp we have encountered; rounded corner at lower left, Very Fine, with 2014 Sismondo certificate.
