Andrew King was born in Texas. He entered the circus and show business at a very early age. About 1882 he became associated with the circus King, Burke & Co. When Burke retired W.E. Franklin became a partner and the firm took the title of King & Franklin. It Was a railroad show operating between 1887 & 1891.

Hagenbeck Wallace Cirrcus named for Carl Hagenbeck, the great German wild animal trainer & dealer in wild animals who came to America about 1900. In 1904 Carl organized a Wild Animal Show and took it on tour in 1905-1906 and then sold the show and name to Ben Wallace. It suffered a railroad disaster when a troop train rammed the circus train in 1918. In 1930 it was acquired by the Ringlings. The Ringlings leased out the 1937-1938 shows bringing it to the end.

This was a wagon road show opened by Sautelle in 1885. In 1902 it went on rails and continued until 1919 when it closed. The cover portrays L/R/ Sautelle and his two partners- Lowande & Rollins. It also proclaims a Wild West segment on the program
