Daniel F. Kelleher Auctions, LLC Sale - 2009

Kelleher Club Sale - July 23-24, 2024

Our Summertime "999 Special" Sale—spanning the early modern to the contemporary, with US and worldwide singles and collections. Autographs include Armstrong, Baden Powell and the complete 1967 Warren Supreme Court, while Ephemera ranges from a leaf from a mid-15th century Book of Hours to a press kit for "Naked Gun 33 1/3", followed by a strong array of Zeppelin covers and memorabilia. US stamps run from Postmaster's Provisionals through Back-of-the-Book with numerous high-grade singles, plate blocks, artist remarques, and more. British Commonwealth begins with an 1820 cover from Lord Bath to Viscount Sidmouth with stamps running from Great Britain 2d blue "white lines" (#4) with countries running Ascension to United Arab Emirates. Canada opens with a gorgeous 1852 Beaver (#4, graded XF-SUP 95) with a Bluenose block of four and vertically imperforate pair to a Prisoner of War strip of five. Worldwide offers nice postal history (including Airmails and more Zepps), with stamps from Austria to Yugoslavia. The sale concludes with over 300 Collections of US (general and specialized) and Worldwide, including solid Dealers Stocks from around the globe. Well worth a leisurely viewing, with many lots fully imaged online.
